How 2017 ended

Being confident in this very thing that he who began a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6.
It is 5 months now since I moved to Malawi! A lot has happened and still happening.
To start with;
• As a wife, new life, new country, and on a mission field....
When we got here, it was during winter season (of course without snow) and yet very cold. This was in June and I was told it lasts till October; not funny for me but of course had to endure with the help of warm clothes.
Not so long that life started getting normal, I mean getting used to the new everything. Had to start learning how to balance my daily activities in my home plus the work of God without forgetting being a teacher since I homeschooling our daughter. This all has been a new experience, being a wife, mother, in another country for the work of God. One of my pastors told me during our marriage counseling to go read about Proverbs 31 woman. As I am still learning who this virtuous woman was or is, I have learnt that she had a well-balanced life. Both for her house and for the house of God. This has motivated me to understand how important my God given ministry is as a minister.

Missions
 Last October, me and my family where blessed to be a part of the trip to Zambia. Leaders had leadership seminar and ladies had women's conference.  It was a ministering and encouraging trip. This is how I named it. Why;
  During the leadership seminar, I was blessed to be the only woman traveling to Livingstone. In my mind I didn't know what to expect but God knew. I joined the group of ladies from Livingstone church, we fellowshipped together with prayer, praises, cooked food for the leaders, it was a great fellowship. I want to thank God for Pastor Bernard and Maggie, Pastor Gift and Patience plus all those who work together with them.
We travelled back to Lusaka for the women's conference. It was good to see what God is doing in the lives of women. This conference was unique, I thank God for what He's doing in the lives of all women. It was so encouraging to hear from all those who shared.

We later finished our sessions with street evangelism in rain.

Our Church
It's now 1year and 8 months since Chinsapo brunch was opened.  As you may know or not know, we now have two churches in Malawi, one headed by Pastor Chris in Area 36 and the other by my husband Pastor Albert in Chinsapo. We are believing God for other church plants in other parts of the country.

However, Chinsapo is an area where few people speak English.  Like I said in my previous letter, we have a problem of language barrier.
·         Children in our Sunday school classes also don't understand English so I always have another person to translate for me. Children are great, they are capable of learning very first. Last December we did a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus Christ, it was great to see them act on the stories they have been learning about. Our children's ministry targets both parents and children. We have seen children drawing parents to church since we have children whose parents don't come to church. Please pray for creativity on how we can build this ministry.
·    Evangelism: It is always great to see God do his work in us. We go out for evangelism by faith believing God to draw us to his people. Giving people the Grace message and seeing souls being won. This is more than just words.... when I say by faith, yes it' is by faith. The language being used is different from the one you know, so how are you going to communicate, it only takes God.
·
       We also have women's prayer fellowship every Saturday.  We meet after evangelism, pray, learn the bible. Please pray for us that more women come out to attend this fellowship.
God Bless you.
