January has been a month of mission trips north, south central and the lakeshore. Recently we went to another district a town called ncheu, and it was 6 km trip deep into the village. The people have no electricity, they use paths as main roads, the access is by bicycle or motorcycle, and most of the surrounding is just bush with high grass comprising of curry trees (spice). These people are used to the environment, no internet just ordinary phones no smartphones, but they are blessed with a health deity they eat health food less oil plenty of vegies and real beef and chicken no GMO. Unfortunately they are troubled with superstition fear of witchcraft, in other words even Christian among them do not know who they are in Christ. One of the most amazing thing is the simple life, the openness to the gospel, the receptivity, later we had our main bible study it was awesome, well attended. God opened our eyes to something unique, that the villagers are so open to the gospel. We witnessed 17 to 20 souls getting saved. We did a door to door evangelism in the village, each house we visited the gathering was 10 to 20 people, and our evangelism was more like mini bible studies, accompanied with raps. Among the good things packaged with this mission trip, is a brother, a man who has decided to join bible school, its goanna take leaving his comfortable simple life in the village, crossing two districts for bible school. Keep our brother in pray.
We had a church outing a mix of baptism and volleyball, two people from our church got baptized.
Pray for our Bible College which reopens FEBRUARY 3rd .That the students finish well and retain information by making disciples. We have had women that come church who can read vernacular, write vernacular but can’t construct a sentence in English or read English, therefore we have formulated a women’s Bible College class which begins February 4th to have them learn English through the bible.
