From Journey(2018) to a Journey(2019)

As we continue to grow, last year was encouraging upon seeing the same faces come for Church services and new incoming faces that God keeps bringing. The wisdom of God outstretched us for a dual reach. Our Tuesday Outreach and visitation team has five faithful people, upon a meet up sometimes we divide in two dimensions visitation and outreach. Such an approach is refreshing. Pray for our maturing women visitation team too. The children's ministry is also growing. Parents now come with their children to hear more about God, the children whose parents don't come to church we have seen them come Along with them, Parents have given us testimonies about changes they see in their children. One mother told us how she started coming to church. It was because of his son (Andsen)who has changed in his behaviours at home. He uses to fight her, throwing stones on her and many things but now the son preaches to his mother. (Wow!!! The things God does are beyond us). We thank God for this family. Joseph(red shoes) and Andsen (blue shoes) see pictures Below.

The children ministry has also organised a Christmas candlelight concert with the Theme: what Christmas is about. It was a lovely way to fellowship on Christmas Eve. Please pray for the children as we see them grow in understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ in simplicity plus my wife Mclean as she coordinates them. I also went to a one day missions trip to Chipata where we are believing God for a new church by the end or mid 2019. Pray with us to get a good strategic place for accommodation, a Church and bible school. The next trip will be in March as we make contacts. Prayer requests: • On 12th January we have a Couples fellowship, pray that married couples come Out for this event • New work to start in Chipata • Pray for our outreach team to increase in number The Ntalashas wish you a BLESSED year.

Malawi inland mission Trips plus Church outing (Baptist-volleyball)

January has been a month of mission trips north, south central and the lakeshore. Recently we went to another district a town called ncheu, and it was 6 km trip deep into the village. The people have no electricity, they use paths as main roads, the access is by bicycle or motorcycle, and most of the surrounding is just bush with high grass comprising of curry trees (spice).These people are used to the environment, no internet just ordinary phones no smartphones, but they are blessed with a health deity they eat health food less oil plenty of vegies and real beef and chicken no GMO. Unfortunately they are troubled with superstition fear of witchcraft, in other words even Christian among them do not know who they are in Christ. One of the most amazing thing is the simple life, the openness to the gospel, the receptivity, later we had our main bible study it was awesome, well attended. God opened our eyes to something unique, that the villagers are so open to the gospel. We witnessed 17 to 20 souls getting saved. We did a door to door evangelism in the village, each house we visited the gathering was 10 to 20 people, and our evangelism was more like mini bible studies, accompanied with raps. Among the good things packaged with this mission trip, is a brother, a man who has decided to join bible school, its goanna take leaving his comfortable simple life in the village, crossing two districts for bible school. Keep our brother in pray.
We had a church outing a mix of baptism and volleyball, two people from our church got baptized.
Pray for our Bible College which reopens FEBRUARY 3rd    .That the students finish well and retain information by making disciples. We have had women that come church who can read vernacular, write vernacular but can’t construct a sentence in English or read English, therefore we have formulated a women’s Bible College class which begins February 4th   to have them learn English through the bible.
Thank you,

How 2017 ended

Being confident in this very thing that he who began a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6.
It is 5 months now since I moved to Malawi! A lot has happened and still happening.
To start with;
• As a wife, new life, new country, and on a mission field....
When we got here, it was during winter season (of course without snow) and yet very cold. This was in June and I was told it lasts till October; not funny for me but of course had to endure with the help of warm clothes.
Not so long that life started getting normal, I mean getting used to the new everything. Had to start learning how to balance my daily activities in my home plus the work of God without forgetting being a teacher since I homeschooling our daughter. This all has been a new experience, being a wife, mother, in another country for the work of God. One of my pastors told me during our marriage counseling to go read about Proverbs 31 woman. As I am still learning who this virtuous woman was or is, I have learnt that she had a well-balanced life. Both for her house and for the house of God. This has motivated me to understand how important my God given ministry is as a minister.

Missions
 Last October, me and my family where blessed to be a part of the trip to Zambia. Leaders had leadership seminar and ladies had women's conference.  It was a ministering and encouraging trip. This is how I named it. Why;
  During the leadership seminar, I was blessed to be the only woman traveling to Livingstone. In my mind I didn't know what to expect but God knew. I joined the group of ladies from Livingstone church, we fellowshipped together with prayer, praises, cooked food for the leaders, it was a great fellowship. I want to thank God for Pastor Bernard and Maggie, Pastor Gift and Patience plus all those who work together with them.
We travelled back to Lusaka for the women's conference. It was good to see what God is doing in the lives of women. This conference was unique, I thank God for what He's doing in the lives of all women. It was so encouraging to hear from all those who shared.

We later finished our sessions with street evangelism in rain.

Our Church
It's now 1year and 8 months since Chinsapo brunch was opened.  As you may know or not know, we now have two churches in Malawi, one headed by Pastor Chris in Area 36 and the other by my husband Pastor Albert in Chinsapo. We are believing God for other church plants in other parts of the country.

However, Chinsapo is an area where few people speak English.  Like I said in my previous letter, we have a problem of language barrier.
·         Children in our Sunday school classes also don't understand English so I always have another person to translate for me. Children are great, they are capable of learning very first. Last December we did a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus Christ, it was great to see them act on the stories they have been learning about. Our children's ministry targets both parents and children. We have seen children drawing parents to church since we have children whose parents don't come to church. Please pray for creativity on how we can build this ministry.
·    Evangelism: It is always great to see God do his work in us. We go out for evangelism by faith believing God to draw us to his people. Giving people the Grace message and seeing souls being won. This is more than just words.... when I say by faith, yes it' is by faith. The language being used is different from the one you know, so how are you going to communicate, it only takes God.
·
       We also have women's prayer fellowship every Saturday.  We meet after evangelism, pray, learn the bible. Please pray for us that more women come out to attend this fellowship.
God Bless you.
